I’m Dick Cole and my family have lived in St Enoder Parish for hundreds of years. I was brought up just outside of Indian Queens, and now live in Fraddon with my wife Ann.

I was elected to both St Enoder Parish Council and Restormel Borough Council in 1999.

I’ve served as the Chairman of the Parish Council between 2004-2006. I was also the Chairman of a steering group of volunteers that produced a Parish Plan for St Enoder in 2008, and I am now working with fellow Parish Councillors on the production of a Neighbourhood Plan.

I am a trustee of the Fraddon Millennium Green and also Indian Queens Pit, as well as being a Governor at Summercourt School.

Over the since 1999, I’ve been personally responsible for successful grant applications that have brought benefits to many local organisations including the Indian Queens Under-5s, the Indian Queens Band, Queens Pit Association and help install new play equipment throughout the Parish.

In June 2009, I resigned as an archaeologist with Cornwall Council’s Historic Environment Service in order to be able to stand for election to the new Cornwall Council. I was subsequently elected and was chosen to chair the Planning Policy Advisory Panel.

I was re-elected in 2013 and I chair the Heritage & Planning Policy Advisory Committee.
