My name is Michael Arthur Bunyan and I live in Fraddon along with Maria, my wife and our two daughters -Tamar and Keziah (I have three daughters from a previous marriage – one is living in Scotland, one in Burton on Trent and the other is in West Sussex.)

We left Nottingham in 2003 to work in Newquay with homeless young men as “house parents” in a Christian Project organised by the Newquay Christian Centre. After two years of effort there we decided to move on and handed over the running of the project to another husband and wife team. The project is still running today and helps many troubled young men and women turn their lives around.

We decided to stay in Cornwall and, after leaving the project in Newquay, we are now living in the Parish. After much experience in the retail dairy business for most of my working life, I found employment at Kingsley Village working in their cafe until August 2007. From then until December 2009 I managed a cafe in Newquay until I reached retirement age.

My interests and hobbies are walking, cycling, singing, watching and playing sports and working with young people. My family and I are active committed Christians and attend Newquay Christian Centre.

Cornwall has been good to me and my family so now I’d like to serve my community in the role of Parish Councillor.
