The parish is at the very centre of Cornwall and is largely rural. It has population of around 4,500 and within its boundaries are the villages of Indian Queens, St Columb Road, Fraddon, Summercourt, Trevarren and Pedna Carne Estate.

St Enoder Parish Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive CiLCA qualified Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer (RFO).

As Clerk/RFO, you’ll play a key role in driving projects forward and supporting the council in their work to support and develop a vibrant and growing community (population 5082, 2021 census). You will work closely with councillors, residents, and local businesses/partners to ensure the smooth running of council business and services.

St Enoder Parish Council manages and maintains community facilities including playing fields, public toilets, youth club, allotments, cemeteries, and public spaces as well as supporting local events. The Parish Council has agreements with Cornwall Council to maintain footpaths, verges and Churchyard. The council is primarily funded by the precept (£142,442 2026-27) and, as RFO, the Clerk has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the council budget.

This is a part-time role (30 hours per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from home. The role includes attending Council meetings 2^nd and 4^th Tuesday of every month except August and December when there is one meeting.

The role is graded in the LC2 band of the NALC pay scale (SCP28-32 , £20.29 – £22.20 per hour, pay award pending). NEST pension with employer contribution of 5%.
